Job Description
Seasonal Class A CDL Driver - Tanker Endorsement Required We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our construction company for a seasonal position running from October through December . This position will involve both day and night shifts , and applicants must be flexible with scheduling based on project needs. Minimum Requirements Valid Class A CDL Tanker endorsement required Minimum 5 years of Class A commercial driving experience Clean and acceptable driving record Ability to work day and night shifts Ability to work a seasonal schedule from October through December Ability to safely operate a smartphone for timecard entry and company communication Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with company policies and all applicable laws and regulations Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and identify mechanical or safety concerns Maintain required driving, work/rest, mileage and inspection records Comply with DOT and applicable state and federal trucking regulations Safely maneuver trucks into loading and unloading locations, including active construction sites Collect, review and verify delivery and hauling instructions Maintain fuel, toll and other required receipts and documentation Immediately report equipment defects, accidents, safety concerns or violations Maintain communication with dispatch, supervisors and project personnel Use a smartphone to accurately enter timecards and other required information Preferred Experience Experience operating a variety of trucks and trailers, including: Tankers End dumps Walking-floor trailers Low-bed/lowboy trailers Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators and dozers , particularly for loading and unloading equipment from low-bed trailers, is also preferred. Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of commercial driving laws, DOT regulations and safe driving practices Ability to safely work extended shifts when required Ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions, traffic, weather and project schedules Dependable, safety-conscious and able to work independently Comfortable working around active construction sites and heavy equipment Ability to follow verbal and written instructions This is a seasonal position from October through December and is expected to include both daytime and nighttime work. Applicants must have a valid Class A CDL with a tanker endorsement and at least 5 years of commercial driving experience.
