Overview:

Express Employment Professionals in Yuba City is partnering with a well-established asphalt and paving contractor in the Yuba-Sutter area to hire an experienced Class A CDL Driver. This position operates a manual transmission truck hauling heavy construction equipment and asphalt materials to and from job sites. The ideal candidate has experience transporting paving equipment such as pavers, rollers, skid steers, and loaders, along with hauling hot mix asphalt or related paving materials. This is a steady, long-term opportunity within the construction and paving industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a manual transmission Class A truck Haul asphalt materials to and from job sites Transport heavy paving and construction equipment Load, chain, and properly secure equipment for transport Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintain accurate logs and DOT compliance documentation Coordinate with supervisors and paving crews on job sites Ensure safe and timely delivery of asphalt and equipment Follow all DOT and company safety regulations

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL required Manual transmission experience required (no automatic restriction) Experience hauling asphalt materials preferred Experience hauling heavy equipment preferred Knowledge of proper load securement and chaining procedures Clean driving record Strong understanding of construction jobsite safety Ability to work early mornings and overtime as needed Reliable and punctual

Physical Requirements:

Ability to secure chains and binders Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working around heavy equipment and paving operations
