What You'll Be Doing Day to
Day:
Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, tractors, trailers, and heavy-haul equipment in compliance with DOT regulations. Transport construction equipment, pipe, materials, and jobsite assets throughout Iowa. Load, unload, and secure heavy equipment including excavators, directional drill equipment, backhoes, skid steers, forklifts, loaders, welders, augers, and related machinery. Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, permitting requirements, and company safety standards. Obtain permits and confirm gross vehicle weights for oversized and overweight loads. Complete required documentation including inspection reports, electronic logs, permits, delivery paperwork, receipts, and timecards. Operate heavy equipment when needed to assist with loading, unloading, and staging.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement . Minimum of 3 years of CDL driving experience. Experience hauling heavy equipment, construction equipment, or oversized loads. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, inspections, permits, logbooks, and hours-of-service requirements. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field. What We're Looking For to
