Overview We are seeking reliable and experienced CDL Drivers to join our team. This role involves steady, year-round work hauling various materials such as scrap metal and aggregate. Duties Operate commercial trucks to transport scrap metal, aggregate, and other materials to designated locations. Ensure timely and safe delivery of loads while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding schedules, routes, and any issues encountered during trips. Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, preferably hauling scrap metal or similar materials. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
