This position involves operating semi-trucks and trailers to pick up and transport tires and other materials between customer locations, our recycling facility, and other designated locations. The ideal candidate is reliable, comfortable operating commercial vehicles, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining safe and professional driving practices. A Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement is a plus, but not required. Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate semi-trucks and commercial trailers in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations Pick up and transport tires, recycled materials, and other loads as assigned Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers Ensure loads are properly secured before transportation Safely hook and unhook trailers as needed Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and other required paperwork Follow assigned routes and communicate with dispatch or management regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, or equipment issues Follow all DOT and company safety procedures Maintain a clean and professional truck and work environment Report mechanical problems, damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs promptly Assist with loading, unloading, and handling materials when necessary Be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds Maintain professional behavior when interacting with customers, vendors, and other employees Perform additional transportation-related duties as assigned Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Valid DOT Medical Card Acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate a semi-truck and trailer Doubles/Triples Endorsement is a plus Previous commercial driving experience preferred Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety requirements Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to safely enter and exit trucks and trailers throughout the workday Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong communication and time-management skills Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments Preferred Experience Experience operating tractor-trailers Experience pulling doubles Experience in tire recycling, waste hauling, roll-off, construction, or similar industries Experience securing and transporting commercial loads Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks and trailers Benefits Competitive pay Consistent work Overtime opportunities when available Company-provided equipment Opportunities for advancement Additional benefits may be available based on position and eligibility
