Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a CDL-A Regional Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across designated regional routes! This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of tractor-trailers, including flatbeds and dry vans, while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll enjoy consistent schedules, weekends off, and the chance to showcase your expertise in commercial truck driving. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across regional over-the-road routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Drive various types of freight. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to verify safety and compliance. Manage delivery schedules effectively, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs at multiple customer locations while maintaining high levels of customer service. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate professionally with dispatcher and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving within regional territories. Demonstrated ability to operate trucks with manual transmissions safely and efficiently. Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures including load & unload operations for freight of various types. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time tracking during deliveries. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safety standards related to dangerous goods transportation.
