Conifer, CO/Denver Metro (occasional travel may be required) What this Position Is The CDL A Driver is responsible for safely transporting materials and debris using Class A vehicles and specialized trailers in support of construction, demolition, and earthwork operations. This role requires experience operating side dump, high side end dump and flatbed trailers, strong situational awareness on active jobsites, and the ability to support field operations with basic equipment operation when needed. Drivers are expected to operate independently, follow DOT and company safety standards, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting. They may be asked to operate non CDL trucks and trailers to assist with job specific operation needs. What You Will Do Driving & Hauling Operations Operate Class A trucks with side dump, high side end dump, and flatbed trailers safely and efficiently Haul materials to and from jobsites, yards, and disposal facilities Position trucks properly for loading and unloading Secure loads and ensure safe weight distribution Maintain awareness of ground conditions, overhead hazards, and personnel Inspections & Compliance Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections Identify and report mechanical or safety issues immediately Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements Maintain an insurable MVR at all times as a condition of employment Jobsite & Equipment Support Assist with basic heavy equipment operation as needed Coordinate with equipment operators during loading and dumping Follow spotter instructions and job site traffic controls Maintain clean haul routes and dumping areas when applicable Reporting & Documentation Complete daily time, haul, and equipment reports using company mobile reporting applications daily Accurately document hours, loads, and jobsite activities daily Safety & Professional Conduct Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Use required PPE at all times Report hazards, incidents, or near-misses immediately Maintain professional conduct on job sites and public roadways Physical Requirements & Work Environment Seated for extended periods while driving between locations Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs repeatedly Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers multiple times per day Exposure to dust, vibration, noise, traffic, and heavy civil construction hazards What We're Looking For Valid CDL Class A (must have air brake endorsement) Insurable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Demonstrated experience with side dump, high side end dump, and flatbed trailers Familiarity with heavy civil construction site operations Ability to work independently and follow direction Strong safety awareness and communication skills Basic heavy equipment operating experience preferred Experience hauling in heavy civil earthwork and demolition operations Growth Opportunities Lead CDL Driver/Dispatcher Equipment Operator Yard Manager Benefits Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO)
