Job Summary Ruby's Auto Body is seeking a dependable and professional Tow Truck Driver to join our growing team in La Junta, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a tow truck or working in the automotive industry and will understand the importance of safely transporting vehicles while providing excellent service to customers. This position includes regular scheduled hours along with participation in an on call rotation. Additional on call pay is provided , along with compensation for qualifying tow calls. We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety focused, and comfortable working independently. Responsibilities Safely operate company tow trucks and related towing equipment Respond to scheduled and dispatched towing calls in a timely and professional manner Participate in the company's on call towing rotation Safely load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles Perform accident recovery, breakdown towing, and vehicle transportation Provide roadside assistance when required Communicate professionally with customers, law enforcement, dispatchers, insurance partners, and other parties Complete required towing documentation accurately Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and towing equipment Report equipment, maintenance, or safety concerns promptly Maintain company vehicles and equipment in a clean and professional condition Follow all company safety procedures and applicable towing and transportation requirements Assist with shop and vehicle related responsibilities when not actively performing towing assignments Represent Ruby's Auto Body professionally in the community Requirements We are looking for someone who is dependable, responsible, safety conscious, and comfortable working independently.

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous towing, roadside assistance, automotive, transportation, or related experience preferred Ability to safely operate a tow truck and towing equipment Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to meet applicable DOT and company driver requirements Ability to safely load, secure, and transport a variety of vehicles Strong situational awareness and commitment to safe driving practices Ability to work independently and make good decisions in roadside situations Professional communication and customer service skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and road conditions Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with towing and roadside work Dependable attendance and the ability to respond reliably when scheduled for on call coverage Compensation Competitive Pay Based on Experience Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and ability to safely perform the responsibilities of the position. Additional On Call Pay Employees participating in the towing on call rotation receive additional compensation for being on call , in addition to applicable compensation for qualifying tow calls.
