Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tractor Driver to join our hop harvest. You will drive the tractor and trailer through the field and with the help of another person collect plants. Once the plants are dropped on the warehouse, you will need to help do some minor labor there until it's time for another load of plants. We are a hop farm and the driving will be between tight rows of tall poles. -----If interested, call Chris @ 860-306-1195. We do not regularly check Indeed messages and will not consider you truly interested if you only message via Indeed and don't call. ----- Duties It's important to navigate in, through, and out of the rows safely, while ensuring the plants are falling within the correct area of the trailer. Use the hydraulic levers on the tractor to appropriately move the sides of the trailer to contain the plants. Back the trailer up to the hop picker machine in the warehouse and drop the plants using a hydraulic live floor in the trailer. Pay attention to row number sea varieties, ensuring you are collecting the correct row of plants each load. Learn the layout of the field. Between loads, you will need be on your feet helping to sweep, clean, feed plants into the machine, and other simple general labor. Requirements You must be punctual.
