POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the position is to deliver residents to and from appointments in a safe, comfortable and timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior. Delivers residents to and from appointments without delay or incident, and in comfort. Plans and coordinates transportation for all outings for residents. Runs errands for facility within reasonable time limits. Understands resident mobility issues and applies utmost care and responsibility in transporting them to prevent injury or discomfort. Calls supervisor to report any difficulties in making pick-up/drop offs. Follows all California transportation laws and Company policies and procedures when operating vehicle, including Vehicle Safety Checklist procedures. Refill vehicles with fuel as necessary. Notifies Maintenance and Administration if vehicle(s) need maintenance or repair work.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of 3 years' driving experience; previous work experience as a driver preferred Experience working with geriatric population desirable Must have valid driver's license, clear DMV record, and be insurable under Company's insurance policy
