Open Position:

1 Suncoast Drivers is hiring an experienced CDL Class A Driver for a local pallet delivery position in Eastford, CT . Drivers will handle local truckload deliveries involving primarily drop-and-hook, no-touch freight . Drivers will pick up trailers containing wooden pallets from customer facilities and deliver them to the plant, as well as deliver repaired pallets back to customer locations. Schedule Monday-Friday 7:00 PM-3:00 AM 8-10 hour shifts 50+ hours per week expected Approximately 5-8 stops per route Local/regional routes within approximately 150 miles Job Responsibilities Operate an automatic CDL Class A day cab . Drive a double-axle truck pulling 53-foot dry van and/or flatbed trailers. Pick up and deliver trailers containing wooden pallets. Transport repaired pallets to customer facilities. Perform primarily drop-and-hook, no-touch freight . Complete delivery and pickup paperwork at customer locations. Inspect the truck before and after each trip. Report any vehicle defects or safety concerns. Maintain required driver logs through ELD when applicable. Follow all DOT, FMCSA, company safety, and operating procedures. Operate equipment safely and responsibly at all times. Route Information Various warehouses and distribution centers Approximately 150-mile driving radius Approximately 5-8 stops per route

Recycled wooden pallets Primarily no-touch freight Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally lift 50-75 lbs. Ability to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for extended periods. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
