We are a drywall and ceiling contractor with an immediate need for a full-time warehouse worker and backup truck driver (pickup trucks only-no CDL required) to help service construction sites throughout CT, MA, and RI. Strong work ethic and good driving history required. Will be driving various pickup trucks for smaller deliveries from our warehouse to our job sites and will be responsible to help load and unload materials at each stop. If you are interested in strictly a driving position, then this job is not right for you. This is a very hands-on role. Warehouse cleaning and organization as well as general facilities maintenance are key components of this position. Successful candidate will enjoy getting their hands dirty and staying busy and take pride in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Forklift experience/certification is a plus but training is provided if needed. Frequent moving of construction materials and equipment and getting trucks loaded for multiple deliveries daily. Must be able to do frequent lifting/pushing/pulling and use pallet jacks and other tools effectively. In this position you will also gain experience over time driving our larger box truck and flatbed trucks for larger deliveries. No CDL is needed but we will pay for your DOT Medical Card when needed. Safety is a critical component of our culture. OSHA-10 training preferred, but we can provide updated certification if needed. Ideal candidate will be reliable (show up on time every day), motivated, disciplined, and able to work under limited supervision after training period. Approx. hours 6:30/7:00am - 3:00/3:30pm with half hour for lunch. Start/end times may vary depending on delivery routes for the day, so candidate must be flexible. Competitive wage and benefits. Up to $500 sign-on bonus (taxable) depending on experience, payable after successful completion of 60 days.
