Job Description
Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Driver to safely transport bulk liquids, hazardous materials, and waste across regional and long-haul routes. This role includes performing pre/post-trip inspections, ensuring proper placarding and manifest documentation, and complying with DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations. Drivers will operate late-model equipment, maintain electronic logs, and coordinate with dispatch to meet scheduled pickups and deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A tractor-trailer on OTR routes hauling hazardous and non-hazardous materials Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and document findings Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations and company safety policies Maintain accurate logs using ELD systems and complete all shipping documentation Verify proper placarding, labeling, and securement of all loads Communicate with dispatch to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route changes Respond appropriately to incidents or spills following company procedures Provide professional customer service at client sites Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate maintenance Support environmental and industrial projects as assigned Required Skills CDL Class A driving Tanker and hazmat handling Pre/post-trip inspections DOT compliance Load securement Electronic logging devices (ELD) Trip planning and routing Defensive driving Hazardous waste handling Vehicle maintenance basics
