  • Gregor Technologies Division is seeking a Non-CDL Truck Driver in Torrington, CT.
Metals USA is a solid, growth-oriented aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, aerospace, and fabrication industries. The Non-CDL Truck Driver completes assigned deliveries and pick-up of merchandise and assists with shipping and receiving responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Drives a van and/or box truck to transport and deliver materials Maneuvers truck into loading and unloading positions. Operates company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner. Routinely inspects and maintains vehicle daily, complete driver's logs and reports in compliance with FMCSR daily. Picks up and accurately delivers merchandise and corresponding paperwork in a timely manner. Keeps a clean and well maintained delivery vehicle, internal and external. Ensures customer messages/communications are relayed to appropriate management. Secures loaded cargo into truck; safely load & unload materials using a winch, hoist and/or forklift. Delivers paperwork and communications between Gregor Technologies, customers and vendors. Assists with stocking the shipping and receiving department to include lifting and carrying cartons and placing them on appropriate shelves. Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas. Notifies management of product discrepancies or malfunctions, and or personal injuries. Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of a truck driver. Adheres to Reliance Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements. Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certifications/Licenses:
Valid driver's license

Work Environment:
May be exposed to some of the following working conditions. Requirements:
