Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Roll-Off Driver and take on an energetic role that keeps our waste management and recycling operations running smoothly! Responsibilities Safely operate roll-off trucks equipped with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems across over-the-road (OTR) routes and local delivery areas to meet scheduled pickup and drop-off times. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for proper load securement and adherence to hazardous materials regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, route logs, and compliance documentation in line with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate route driving activities and resolve any issues promptly. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with tractor-trailer or commercial truck driving preferred. Proven driving experience with knowledge of route driving strategies for efficiency. Experience operating refrigerated trailers or specialized equipment such as flatbeds or tankers is a plus. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, hazard communication standards, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly in various weather conditions.
