In this energetic role, you'll operate heavy-duty dump trucks, ensuring timely delivery of construction aggregates, debris removal, and other bulk materials. Your expertise in commercial truck driving combined with a keen eye for safety will keep operations running smoothly while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Duties Safely operate dump trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and other specialized vehicles to transport construction materials, hazardous goods, or freight across short and long routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual handling techniques or truck loading equipment while ensuring cargo is secured according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation), Hazmat (Hazardous Materials), and hazardous goods regulations during transportation and delivery processes. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating the truck. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate deliveries, manage freight documentation, and ensure proper handling of dangerous goods or hazardous materials when applicable. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or dump trucks used in construction or logistics industries. Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck driving. Experience with route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning across diverse locations. Familiarity with load & unload procedures, freight handling, and logistics cargo management. Delivery driver experience involving manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; training provided if necessary. Ability to manually handle heavy loads safely during loading/unloading processes while adhering to safety standards. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type; additional certifications such as Hazmat endorsement are a plus. Join us in delivering excellence on every route!
