Job Description

PODS is seeking a safety-focused CDL B Driver to support our Transportation & Logistics team. In this field role, you will operate CDL B trucks to deliver, pick up, and precisely position portable moving and storage containers for residential and commercial customers. Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, pre/post-trip inspections, container loading and securement, and accurate documentation. You'll serve as the face of PODS, providing friendly, solutions-oriented customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL B trucks to deliver, pick up, and reposition PODS containers Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and complete DOT-compliant logs Secure, load, and unload containers following safety and company standards Provide courteous, professional service at customer sites and resolve basic issues Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to changing priorities Communicate with dispatch and operations to ensure on-time service Maintain a clean, well-kept vehicle and report maintenance needs promptly Adhere to all DOT, safety, and PODS operational policies and procedures Required Skills CDL B truck operation Defensive driving and safety compliance Local route navigation and GPS use Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Load securement and container positioning Customer service and communication Time management and route planning DOT regulations knowledge Paperwork and electronic logging Material handling equipment operation
