Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Deliver Driver to join our dynamic logistics team! Duties Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks. Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to optimize time and fuel consumption. Deliver goods directly to customers' locations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and professional customer interactions. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with all transportation regulations. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, including signatures, delivery times, and any discrepancies or issues encountered during routes. Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including inventory management, manual handling, and moving supplies or products within the facility. Qualifications Previous experience in delivery driving or courier roles is highly preferred. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is advantageous. Experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks with manual transmissions. Knowledge of safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques required for manual handling tasks. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and effectively. Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication purposes.
