Job Description
Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to safely transport goods for diverse customers. In this role, you'll operate late-model, well-maintained equipment, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, follow DOT regulations, and maintain accurate logs. You'll load, unload, and secure freight while providing courteous, on-time service. Collaborating with dispatch and maintenance teams, you'll report issues promptly and support a strong safety culture. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to customer locations on schedule Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs Comply with DOT, company, and safety regulations at all times Load, unload, and properly secure freight to prevent damage or loss Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and maintenance teams Follow assigned routes while adapting to traffic and weather conditions Represent Penske professionally with strong customer service on every route Required Skills CDL truck driving Defensive driving DOT regulations compliance Electronic log devices (ELD) Vehicle inspection and maintenance checks Freight loading and securing Route planning and navigation Time management Customer service Basic mechanical aptitude
