Job Description

PODS is hiring a Local Class B CDL Driver to support our Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you'll safely deliver and pick up portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers, operating within a local route so you're home daily. You'll perform vehicle inspections, secure loads, operate lift systems, and ensure every interaction reflects our customer-first, safety-focused culture. This position is ideal for reliable problem-solvers who value teamwork, accountability, and hands-on work in a growing logistics company with opportunities for advancement nationwide. Responsibilities Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles to deliver and pick up PODS containers locally Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs Secure and transport containers following DOT and company safety standards Provide professional, customer-first service at each stop, addressing questions and concerns Operate lift systems and related equipment for container placement and retrieval Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure on-time, efficient routes Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times Report vehicle issues, incidents, or delays promptly to supervisors Required Skills Class B commercial driving Vehicle safety inspection Local route navigation DOT compliance Load securement Use of hydraulic lift gates Customer service Basic equipment troubleshooting Electronic logging devices (ELDs) Time management
