30% of GROSS We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Local Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to deliver freight efficiently within local routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across local OTR (Over the Road) driving routes Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo and hazardous materials in compliance with hazardous materials regulations Transport automobile parts, freight, or dangerous goods with precision and care, ensuring secure loading and unloading processes Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records according to DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or safety concerns Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and relevant experience in commercial truck driving Proven experience with delivery driving, route driving, and freight handling in various environments including refrigerated trailers and hazardous materials transportation Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution Hands-on experience in truck loading/unloading, manual handling of cargo, and logistics cargo handling procedures Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard materials regulations, DOT rules, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation Experience operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers with manual transmission or automatic transmission preferred Prior exposure to over-the-road (OTR) routes or local delivery routes is highly desirable Join us as a CDL A Local Driver where your expertise will drive our success!
