Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, to deliver freight efficiently and reliably. Your expertise in handling different types of cargo, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and hazardous materials, will ensure our customers receive their shipments on time while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills and contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation that values safety, precision, and customer satisfaction. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers on OTR routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Transport freight across long distances using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments Load and unload cargo manually or with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and dangerous goods Securely load and unload various types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tanker liquids, or automobile transportation Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving Demonstrated expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or hazardous materials (Hazmat certification preferred) Experience with GPS navigation systems for route optimization during over-the-road (OTR) driving routes Knowledge of logistics cargo handling including load & unload procedures for freight, dangerous goods, and specialty cargo Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks safely Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck driving Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or using appropriate equipment as required Join us as a CDL A Truck Driver if you're passionate about delivering freight safely across vast distances while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
