Job Description

PODS is seeking a safety-focused CDL Driver to deliver and pick up portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. In this field-based role, you'll operate CDL-class trucks, secure and move containers, and complete daily vehicle inspections while following DOT and company safety standards. You'll interact directly with customers, provide courteous service, and resolve basic issues on-site. Drivers work closely with dispatch and operations to follow routes, manage schedules, and maintain accurate logs. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL-class trucks to deliver and pick up PODS containers for residential and commercial customers Inspect vehicle and equipment daily, documenting and reporting any safety or maintenance issues Secure, load, and unload containers using company-approved procedures and equipment Follow assigned routes and schedules while complying with DOT and company safety regulations Provide courteous, professional on-site customer service and resolve basic service issues Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and mileage logs and complete required paperwork or electronic records Communicate with dispatch and operations to coordinate routes, delays, and customer updates Adhere to PODS' safety, quality, and customer-first standards at all times Required Skills CDL truck driving DOT regulations compliance Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Load securement Route navigation and planning Electronic logging or paperwork management Customer service Backing and maneuvering in tight spaces Safety and hazard awareness Use of liftgates and loading equipment
