Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Auto Transporter (MUST HAVE a Class A Commercial Driver's License)! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting vehicles across various routes, including occasional over-the-road (OTR) driving, utilizing flatbeds, hotshot truck/trailers, four car hauler, and specialized carriers. Your expertise in automobile transportation and logistics cargo handling will ensure that vehicles are delivered on time and in pristine condition. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where your driving skills and attention to safety make a real impact. You will adhere strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations to maintain the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate trucks and specialized trucks for the transportation of automobiles or freight across regional and OTR routes. Load and unload vehicles using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo in compliance with truck loading and unloading procedures. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and safety. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and vehicle safety standards. Load, secure, transport, and deliver freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or other specialized cargo with precision. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, inspection reports, and incident documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving is essential. Proven experience in automobile transportation and delivery driving within logistics or freight industries. Strong knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling is preferred. Excellent route planning skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for efficient route driving on OTR routes.
