Halvor Lines is hiring Reefer CDL A Truck Drivers to haul temperature-controlled freight on regional and over-the-road lanes across the U.S. and Canada. Drive well-maintained, late-model equipment for a family-owned carrier that puts safety and driver support first. Responsibilities include safe operation of reefer units, temperature monitoring, DOT-compliant inspections, accurate ELD logging, and professional communication with dispatch and customers. Responsibilities Safely operate refrigerated (reefer) CDL A equipment on regional and over-the-road routes Maintain proper temperature control and monitoring for temperature-sensitive freight Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries Accurately complete electronic logs, paperwork, and load documentation Care for and report maintenance needs on late-model tractors and reefers Follow company policies focused on safety, professionalism, and customer service Support a respectful, family-oriented culture and represent Halvor Lines positively on the road Required Skills Class A CDL driving Reefer/trailer temperature control DOT safety and compliance Electronic logging devices (ELDs) Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Trip planning and time management Freight handling and load securement Customer service communication Paperwork and documentation accuracy Hazard awareness and defensive driving
