Hourly Summary:
The Bulk Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of cement and other related products in both rural and urban environments in all weather conditions This position serves to support the Ready-Mix concrete industry by providing the materials necessary in a timely manner and with the utmost safety for all parties utilizing the highway/roadway system along with their own safety. Full Time Positions Available Class A CDL and Safe Driving Record Required Experience Preferred; Tanker Endorsement Preferred, Not Required Registered with theFederal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Clearinghouse Home Nightly Excellent Pay and Benefits Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Transportation:
Drive company-owned trucks in a professional manner to transport and deliver products or other materials Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers and tablets to exchange necessary information with dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers Pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and trailer to ensure safety as a priority Report all on-duty accidents and any on-duty or off-duty violations, suspensions, disqualifications, or revocations Drive trucks to weigh stations when appropriate along routes to document weights and to comply with state regulations Maintain, protect and report vehicle defectsDelivery:
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when requiredEthical Conduct:
Knowledge and compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and company safety rules and regulations Must be courteous, professional, safe, and have a positive attitude while working with customers, fellow employees, the public, state, county and city officersGlobal Responsibilities:
Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs.Qualifications:
Valid Class A Driver's License Minimum 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience Hauling cement experience preferred Safe driving record Must be able to pass company physical and maintain valid Medical Card Registered with theFederal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Clearinghouse Skills/Abilities:
