Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable OTR Driver - 1099 contractor to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver freight efficiently and on time. Your expertise will ensure that goods are transported securely across routes, adhering to all safety regulations and standards. We pay 20% per load, dispatch provided and home every 1-2 weeks (flexible). Responsibilities Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as a pallet jack and ensuring secure placement for transit. Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to schedules, traffic laws, and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and inspection reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes. Requirements A clean drivers license + DOT medical Card Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is not required but is recommended Ability to load & unload cargo safely using manual methods, if need be. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation laws. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and documentation accuracy.
