Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Driver in Skilled Nursing! In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing safe, reliable transportation services for patients and residents to and from medical appointments , and community outings. Your compassionate approach and attention to detail will ensure that each individual receives timely and respectful care, enhancing their overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine caregiving with mobility support, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Duties Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments, hospital pick ups, and activities using company vehicles. Assist individuals with mobility challenges, including those requiring Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices, ensuring safe transfers. Maintain accurate documentation of transportation logs, patient information, and medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during patient handling and vehicle sanitation. Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to coordinate schedules and relay important patient information. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep transportation equipment in excellent condition. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating various vehicle types preferred. Experience working in long-term care facilities such as assisted living or nursing homes is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS). Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner is a plus. Familiarity with specialized care needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and behavioral health is advantageous. Ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays across inpatient or outpatient settings. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and safety procedures in acute or sub-acute care environments. From $17.00 per hour
