Job Description

PODS is seeking a Local Class B CDL Driver to safely deliver and pick up our portable moving and storage containers for residential and commercial customers. In this on-site role, you'll operate a Class B commercial vehicle on local routes, maneuvering and positioning containers at customer locations while protecting property and following strict safety and DOT guidelines. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, load securement, accurate documentation, and professional customer service. You'll work closely with dispatch and operations teams in a culture that prioritizes safety, reliability, and teamwork. Responsibilities Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle to deliver and pick up PODS containers on local routes Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety issues Maneuver and position containers at customer sites while protecting property and surroundings Secure loads and ensure containers are properly blocked, braced, and locked Follow all DOT, company, and safety policies, including hours-of-service and PPE requirements Provide professional, courteous customer service and resolve basic on-site issues Use handheld or onboard systems for routing, communication, and documentation Complete accurate logs, delivery tickets, and required paperwork in a timely manner Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to meet daily schedules and service goals Support a culture of teamwork, reliability, and continuous safety improvement Required Skills Commercial truck driving (Class B) Safe vehicle operation and maneuvering Knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations Local route navigation and trip planning Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Load securement and container positioning Electronic logging and dispatch systems Customer service and communication Time management and scheduling Accurate paperwork and documentation
