If you are an experienced irrigation pro who knows how to read blue-line plans, run a tight job site, and guide a crew to do their best work, this is where your leadership steps up. As an Irrigation Foreman, you aren't just putting pipe in the ground-you own the outcome of the site. Your day starts early, setting the standard before the trucks even hit the road.

Responsibilities:
- Direct, train, and supervise crew members on installation techniques, daily tasks, and safety standards.
- Monitor performance, attendance, productivity, and maintain a professional job-site environment.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the crew and management regarding progress, material needs, and issues.
- Oversee and execute system installations (pipes, valves, drip systems, controllers, backflow assemblies) per project plans.
- Coordinate site layout, trenching, backfilling, testing, and troubleshooting to fix leaks or pressure issues.
- Program controllers and conduct final system adjustments to ensure total quality compliance.
- Plan daily workflows and verify all tools, equipment, and materials are prepared prior to starting work.
- Protect client property, coordinate with other trades, and maintain a clean, organized site.
- Complete daily logs, track hours and material usage, take photos, and resolve final punch-list items.
- Transport crews, tools, and materials safely using company trucks and trailers.
- Operate and load construction equipment according to safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Enforce company safety policies, hold daily safety talks, and ensure required PPE usage.
- Manage risks around underground utilities, open trenches, and heavy machinery.
- Immediately report incidents, injuries, or hazards, and halt work if unsafe conditions arise.
Working hours:
8:00 AM- 5:00
PM Skills:
- 2+ years in irrigation installation, with direct experience as a foreman, crew leader, or lead installer.
- Proven background supervising and leading a field crew.
- Hands-on experience towing trailers and operating heavy machinery (skid steers, trenchers, mini excavators).
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) and a general background in landscape construction practices.
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 yearsQualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and the ability to operate company trucks/trailers.
- Strong understanding of irrigation methods, materials (PVC, poly pipe, valves, heads, controllers), and basic system troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and construction drawings.
- Ability to work outdoors in severe weather (heat, humidity, rain), perform heavy labor (digging, lifting, bending, carrying), and work safely around trenches and heavy equipment.
- Basic tech literacy (mobile apps for field reporting/time tracking), strong communication, dependability, and self-management in the field.
