Job Overview We are seeking a professional and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, and ensuring timely delivery of freight. This role requires adherence to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations. The Truck Driver will handle refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment, contributing to efficient logistics cargo handling and delivery operations. Duties Operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmission, adhering strictly to safety and regulatory standards. Drive on OTR routes, route driving, and local delivery routes as assigned, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. Load and unload freight safely using proper manual handling techniques; manage truck loading and unloading processes. Navigate using GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and ensure compliance with traffic laws. Transport automobile transportation or hazardous materials (hazmat) in accordance with hazardous materials regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure vehicle safety and operational efficiency. Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment such as refrigerated trailers or flatbeds; report any mechanical issues promptly. Ensure proper handling of dangerous goods or hazardous materials when applicable, following all safety protocols. Comply with all safety standards related to truck driving, including load & unload procedures and securement of cargo. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including freight delivery and route driving. Prior experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or tractor-trailers is highly desirable. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for commercial trucking. Experience handling logistics cargo, including load & unload operations involving freight or dangerous goods. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of cargo transported (e.g., hazmat endorsement preferred). Demonstrated ability to operate trucks with manual transmission safely over long distances on OTR routes.
