POSITION SUMMARY
Driver - Assisted Living FacilityPosition Summary We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-conscious CDL Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for residents of our assisted living facility. The driver will transport residents to medical appointments, scheduled activities, shopping trips, community outings, and other approved destinations while providing courteous and respectful assistance. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL, a clean driving record, excellent communication skills, and experience working with seniors or individuals who may require additional mobility assistance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, activities, shopping, dining, and community events. Operate facility vehicles in a safe, responsible, and professional manner. Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed, including individuals who use wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility devices. Secure wheelchairs, mobility equipment, and passengers properly according to safety procedures. Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Maintain accurate transportation schedules, trip logs, mileage records, and required documentation. Ensure residents arrive at their destinations safely and on time. Provide courteous, patient, and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and staff. Communicate with facility staff regarding resident transportation needs and schedule changes. Follow all applicable traffic laws, facility policies, and transportation regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly vehicle. Respond appropriately to resident needs or emergencies during transportation. Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle being operated. Clean and acceptable driving record. Previous professional driving experience preferred. Experience transporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or healthcare/assisted living residents is a plus. Ability to safely assist passengers with mobility needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, courteous, and compassionate demeanor. Ability to work independently and follow established safety procedures. Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, and applicable employment requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to assist residents safely in and out of vehicles. Ability to secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift or assist with mobility equipment. Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations. Schedule Schedule may include weekdays, weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings depending on resident transportation needs.Job Types:
