Job Summary We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial truck driving, cargo handling, and compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations. The Truck Driver will operate different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers,, and manage freight logistics efficiently. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks, in accordance with all safety protocols and regulations. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload freight safely using manual handling techniques and proper equipment. Manage logistics cargo handling, including securing loads and verifying cargo documentation. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and maintenance needs are addressed promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections as required by company policies and regulatory agencies. Adhere to all safety procedures related to the transportation of hazardous materials and dangerous goods. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or issues encountered during transit. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmission preferred Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, and DOT compliance standards is essential. Prior experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading equipment, and logistics cargo management is highly desirable. Safe driving record with experience on over-the-road (OTR) routes involving long-distance travel across multiple states or regions. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
