Cliff Berry, Inc. is hiring a CDL Class A Driver. The new driver must have a CDL A license, Tanker, and HazMat endorsement, the ability to obtain a TWIC card within 60 days of hire and have at least 1 year of experience. Subject to working nights, weekends and holidays while on-call or in an emergency response.

Essential Functions:

​​Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all timesManeuver tractor and trailers into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positionedCollect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routesDrive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous products; oil, gas, or other equipmentMaintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulationsCheck the truck to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.

Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumptionReport defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the tractor and/or trailerSecure equipment for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or coversObtain receipts, payment or signatures for services when requiredPerform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairsInspect the load before and after to determine the physical conditionPerform other duties and tasks as assigned
