Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers on our regional routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Drop/move freight with equipment, handling logistics cargo with care to prevent damage or hazards. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times while adhering to route schedules. Deliver freight efficiently to various destinations, maintaining professional communication with dispatchers and customers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues, load security, and compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks and handle manual handling tasks safely. Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution. Understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to truck driving. Strong physical stamina for manual handling tasks associated with load & unload operations. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
