Duties Safely operate box trucks,, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods Transport various types of freight such as automobile parts, or logistics cargo handling items across long distances. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness for each journey Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any incidents during transit Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling. Physical capability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks and sustain long hours on the roadExperience with delivery driver responsibilities involving freight management across diverse routes.
