Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class A CDL Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. Construction and heavy-equipment hauling experience is required, and a hazmat endorsement is required or must be obtainable. In this role, you will safely operate our lowboy truck and trailer, rollback, and ensure heavy equipment arrives at and departs from each job site safely. You will also cross-train with our lube truck equipped with a hazmat materials endorsement, ensuring the safe delivery of lubricants, fuels, and other vital fluids to heavy machinery and equipment. Requirements:

• Individuals must be 22 years of age with 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience without a trainer.
• Have experience in loading and unloading heavy equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and procedures.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement) with appropriate endorsements for heavy equipment operation and multiple trailer types.
• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on heavy equipment deliveries required.
• Strong knowledge of route driving best practices, along with safety procedures for transporting heavy equipment.
• Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and perform inspections; comfortable working in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy containers and maneuvering around construction sites safely
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and site managers.
• Excellent driving record with a commitment to safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Must pass a DOT drug test and physical and maintain a drug-free work zone.

Focused Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a lowboy truck and trailer, and roll-back truck for local deliveries to efficiently and securely transport heavy equipment to job sites.
• Drive route-specific vehicles with manual transmissions across designated local routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform minor maintenance or mechanical checks on trucks and equipment to prevent breakdowns during operations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and safety documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations. Back-up Driver Responsibilities
• Safely operate a CDL Hazmat endorsement truck to deliver lubricants, fuels, and construction fluids to various job sites.
• Assist with fueling and lubricating heavy machinery, such as excavators, skid steers, and drills.
• Collaborate with construction crews to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure the timely delivery of supplies.
• Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling, including proper loading, unloading, and storage procedures.
• Maintain weekly inventory count of all shop materials and ensure Lube Truck stock is maintained.
