Class A/B CDL Delivery Driver at Hurst Hometown Supply!

Hurst Hometown Supply in Cairo, GA is looking to add a dependable and customer-focused CDL Delivery Driver to our team. Job Duties
  • Safely transport materials to customer locations and job sites using company delivery trucks while following all traffic laws and safety procedures
  • Pull and prepare delivery orders based on yard tickets and load materials according to safety standards
  • Unload delivered materials from suppliers using a forklift
  • Assist customers with loading materials
  • Maintain working knowledge of inventory locations within the warehouse and lumber yard
  • Organize delivery paperwork and submit documentation to appropriate staff after each delivery
  • Perform daily inspections of delivery vehicles and report any issues to a supervisor.
Requirements
  • Possess a Valid Class A/B CDL
  • Possess a Valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record
  • Maintain a current DOT Medical Certificate
  • Meet Company MVR Standards
  • Previous forklift operating experience
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs comfortably and up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Physical endurance to handle occasional labor-intensive tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable driving on rural roads, including navigating narrow roads and tight turnaround areas
  • Dependable, hardworking, and professional with a positive customer service attitudeThis is a Full-Time position.
Salary for this position will be based on experience, education, and qualifications. This position may require weekend shifts. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check, pre-employment drug test and possession of a current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate.
