Job Description
Imperial Trading Co., LLC is hiring CDL-A Route Delivery Drivers for our Cedartown Distribution Center. This is a hands-on route delivery position, not a drop-and-hook driving job. Drivers deliver directly to our customers and unload product at each stop using a hand truck. New drivers begin by covering established local and regional routes based on business needs. Some routes return to Cedartown the same day, while others require one overnight stay. As dedicated routes become available, route coverage drivers may have opportunities to move into a dedicated route assignment. Schedule & Routes Monday-Friday Approximately 50 hours per week Route-dependent start times generally between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Workday ends when the assigned route is completed Combination of local and regional route coverage Some routes return home the same day Some routes require one overnight stay Company-provided hotel accommodations for overnight routes What You'll Do Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned delivery routes Deliver products directly to customer locations Unload freight at each stop using a hand truck Handle cases and products weighing up to approximately 50-75 pounds Verify deliveries and complete required documentation Provide professional service to customers Perform required vehicle inspections and follow Company and Department of Transportation safety requirements Required Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License Current Department of Transportation medical card At least 21 years old Acceptable driving record under Company and insurance requirements Ability to successfully complete a road test Ability to meet applicable Department of Transportation drug and alcohol requirements Ability and willingness to work both local and overnight routes Ability to perform the physical requirements of a touch-freight delivery position Preferred Experience At least 6 months of Class A driving experience Additional experience is preferred, but qualified candidates with at least six months of experience will be considered.
