Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring compliance with all FMCSA and hazardous materials regulations. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to plan optimal routes for timely deliveries across diverse locations. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, handling logistics cargo with care for hazardous or dangerous goods when required. Transport automobiles or other specialized cargo using appropriate securement techniques. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking load security and vehicle condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in line with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across long distances. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods. Experience handling freight in refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation equipment. Ability to manually handle cargo safely while loading/unloading trucks; familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures is preferred. Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools for efficient OTR driving routes.
