Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and deliver materials across various job sites and routes. Your expertise in truck driving, cargo handling, and adherence to safety regulations will ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, mining, or waste management projects while maintaining a focus on safety and precision. Duties Operate dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles such as roll-off trucks or flatbeds to transport construction materials, debris, or hazardous goods Load and unload cargo accurately using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary Follow designated routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations during transportation and cargo handling Maintain vehicle safety by conducting pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly Safely load, secure, and unload freight, including hazardous materials or dangerous goods, following all safety protocols Document delivery logs, inspection reports, and shipment details accurately for compliance and record-keeping purposes Skills Proven experience operating dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or similar commercial trucks in logistics or construction environments Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance requirements Ability to navigate using GPS systems efficiently on complex routes including route driving across varied terrains Skilled in manual transmission operation and manual handling techniques for cargo loading/unloading Familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures involving freight, hazardous goods, or specialized cargo such as refrigerated trailers or tanker units Strong understanding of safety protocols related to truck driving, hazardous materials handling, and vehicle maintenance Excellent driving record with experience in delivery driving, over-the-road (OTR) routes, or freight transportation This role is perfect for individuals passionate about truck driving who thrive in fast-paced environments and prioritize safety.
