Job summary The CDL Driver is responsible for operating a Class B vehicle, primarily a 26-foot box truck, to deliver materials such as pipe, fittings, water heaters, and HVAC equipment. The role involves driving approximately 80% of the time and performing warehouse duties 20% of the time, including picking material orders and loading/unloading trucks. Responsibilities Drive a Class B automatic 26-foot box truck to deliver materials within scheduled times.

Haul materials including pipe, fittings, water heaters, and HVAC equipment.

Perform deliveries up to one hour away.

Perform warehouse duties such as picking material orders and loading/unloading trucks.

Operate a sit-down forklift as required.

Validate directions and ensure materials are properly secured and within weight limits.

Obtain customer signatures on delivery tickets and handle delivery documentation.

Communicate with supervisors throughout the day.

Pick up customer returns and local purchase orders, verifying product and documentation.

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations.

Fuel the truck as necessary and report vehicle issues or incidents to the supervisor.

Assist in warehouse tasks as needed.

Represent the company professionally and provide quality customer service.

Abide by company policies, rules, and safety regulations.

Support corporate programs and initiatives.

Work overtime as needed. Qualifications Must hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with at least one year of experience driving the class of vehicle assigned.

Must have sit-down forklift experience.

Must be 21 years or older.

Must hold the required state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate and provide proof. Additional Details Class A license holders can operate any vehicle with a semi-trailer or trailer with two or more axles, including combinations with a gross vehicle weight rating greater than 26,001 pounds where the towed vehicle exceeds 10,000 pounds.
