CLASS A/B CDL RESIDENTIAL SANITATION DRIVER JOB SUMMARY A
growing and established sanitation company is seeking experienced Class A or Class B CDL Drivers to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, excellent work ethic, and preferably experience operating automated residential sanitation equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate a Class A or Class B collection vehicle along assigned routes. Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Operate automated truck body controls to safely collect and load residential waste. Follow assigned routes and complete all scheduled customer service stops. Monitor the condition of the vehicle and report maintenance or operational concerns. Maintain productivity and service standards while prioritizing safety. Identify and report unacceptable waste or damaged containers according to company procedures. Respond professionally and courteously to customers, dispatchers, supervisors, and team members. Complete required route sheets, inspection reports, and other documentation. Maintain compliance with all company, DOT, local, state, and federal safety requirements. Participate in safety meetings, training, and company programs. Maintain a clean and professional work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Class A or Class B CDL. Air brake endorsement required. Current DOT Medical Card. Previous experience operating automated or residential sanitation trucks preferred. Strong commitment to safety and compliance. Ability to work independently and manage an assigned route. Strong time management and organizational skills. Professional and customer-focused attitude. Reliable attendance and strong follow-through.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Two or more years of commercial driving experience. Previous experience operating automated side-load or residential sanitation trucks. Experience working in waste, recycling, sanitation, or other route-based service industries.
