Our family-owned local business serves the entire Atlanta, GA region, with two locations in Social Circle and Oxford and is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Low Boy Class A CDL Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating specialized low boy trailers to transport heavy equipment and oversized loads across various routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to excellence in paving and transportation. Responsibilities Safely operate Low Boy trailers with a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Execute dispatched driving routes, utilizing GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery schedules Load, secure, and unload heavy machinery using manual handling techniques and proper equipment Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly Requirements 3 years valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers or low boy trailers Proven experience in involving heavy or oversized loads equipment. Experience in Asphalt, Milling, Grading and Concrete equipment hauling a plus Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling of equipment handling and securing loads properly Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for over-the-road routes Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and hazardous materials regulations for compliant trucking operations Strong physical stamina for manual handling tasks during load & unload processes Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to all DOT regulations Join our team as a Low Boy Class A CDL Driver if you're passionate about safe driving, skilled in logistics cargo handling, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced transportation environment.
