Job Description Safe operation of vehicle assigned in transporting individuals to medical appointments, or various daily activities. Assist passengers in loading and unloading. Keep accurate attendance and mileage records DAILY. Perform pre-trip and post trip inspection of vehicles DAILY. Communicate maintenance needs in writing to supervisor. Provide care as needed in serving persons with disabilities. Adhere to Medicare, Medicaid, and Positive Care's transportation policies and procedures . Be dependable and on time for all assigned routes. Be flexible to schedule changes as needed. Perform routine maintenance duties for assigned van as needed. Keep assigned vehicle clean inside and outside. Follow oral and written instructions. Report and Document all incidents and accidents immediately. Bending and Kneeling to assist with any adaptive equipment of individuals. Effective completion of any required documentation per individual. Must complete all training required by DBHDD and Positive Care Qualifications Must be able to pass a Federal Background Check. Negative results to pre-employment drug testing and all random tests during employment. Must have and maintain a CLEAR driving record Must have and maintain a Class C license. ( Class C Commercial is preferred but not required) Must adhere to drug testing policy High school diploma or equivalent Obtain and maintain valid certifications in CPR and First Aid Pass a driver's proficiency test as required. Negative TB test Minimum of 25 years of age Experience with working with people with disabilities is desirable Ability to be a positive presence within the Transportation Service Unit Ability to be part of resolution and solution Have good communication skills Ability to keep minor documentaas assigned Ability to follow directions Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and families •Independent transportation companies are also welcome to apply•Additional Information
