Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Non-CDL Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic delivery team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods efficiently and on time to various locations. This would be a over the road jobs. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs at customer locations. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Verify delivery orders, complete necessary documentation, and obtain signatures from recipients. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs. Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during all driving activities. Maintain professional communication with dispatchers and customers via mobile devices, providing updates on delivery status. Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including material handling, inventory management, and moving supplies within the facility. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations involving manual handling and material movement. Valid driver's license suitable for operating a box truck. Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently in compliance with workplace weight handling standards. Knowledge of route driving, adhering to traffic regulations, and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members. Familiarity with using mobile devices for navigation, route updates, and documentation purposes.
