CDL Class B Tandem Dump Truck Driver - Local / Home Daily Butler Brothers Trucking LLC is hiring an experienced CDL Class B Tandem Dump Truck Driver to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused professional who takes pride in their work and knows how to operate a tandem dump truck safely and efficiently on construction and paving projects throughout the Metro Atlanta area. Our trucks are parked in Winder, GA. Drivers report to Winder at the beginning of their shift and return the truck to Winder at the end of the workday. This is a local driving position — home daily . Responsibilities Safely operate a tandem dump truck to haul dirt, stone, asphalt, millings, and other construction materials Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections Pick up and deliver materials to job sites, plants, quarries, and disposal locations Follow all DOT, FMCSA, company, and job-site safety requirements Properly position and dump loads safely at construction and paving sites Maintain communication with dispatch regarding job status, delays, and changes Complete and submit tickets and other required documentation accurately Keep assigned truck clean and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Follow customer and job-site instructions while maintaining a professional attitude Work safely around heavy equipment, power lines, paving crews, and active construction sites Ensure the dump bed is completely lowered before moving the truck Requirements Valid Class A or Class B CDL Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience Dump truck experience strongly preferred Asphalt/paving experience preferred Clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Current DOT Medical Card Must be able to pass required drug and alcohol testing Must be dependable and report to work on time Must have reliable transportation to and from Winder, GA Must be able to safely maneuver and back a tandem dump truck on active construction sites Must maintain awareness of overhead power lines and other job-site hazards Ability to work independently and follow dispatch instructions Strong commitment to safety and professional conduct Schedule Primarily Monday through Friday Typical daytime schedule is approximately 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM Start and end times vary depending on job assignments Night work and weekend work are also available Opportunities for additional hours may be available based on project demand Construction work is weather-dependent, so schedules may occasionally change What We're Looking For We want drivers who are safe, reliable, professional, and ready to work .
