Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Flatbed Truck Driver to join team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting landscaping materials across various routes while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and effective communication skills. Duties Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to proper handling procedures. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while considering traffic conditions. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport. Follow all safety protocols and regulations during transportation and handling of goods. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally. Experience Proven experience in truck driving with a valid driver's license. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers is preferred. Experience in route driving and delivery driving is highly desirable. Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
