As a Flatbed Truck Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring that materials reach customers safely and on time. Responsibilities Safely load and unload landscaping materials, following proper procedures to prevent damage or injury. Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the flatbed truck to ensure compliance with safety standards. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, considering traffic and road conditions to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel usage logs. Communicate promptly with dispatchers regarding any delays, issues, or changes during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and transportation regulations at all times. Provide courteous and professional customer service during each delivery, representing the company positively. Qualifications Valid drivers license with experience operating flatbed trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Experience with safe loading and unloading of cargo. Familiarity with operating flatbed trucks; experience with other commercial vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, roll-off trucks, or tankers is a plus. Strong understanding of commercial driving traffic laws and safety regulations. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. Effective communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and customers. Experience in route driving or delivery driving is desirable.
