Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of vehicles including pickup and trailer, dump trucks and tractor with side dump. Experience operating mini excavators and skid loaders is a plus. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and delivery vehicles. Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while minimizing delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck to uphold company standards. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Proven work history as a driver with a strong understanding of driving regulations. Basic mechanical knowledge. Experience with refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, or tankers is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to load and unload equipment safely and efficiently. Strong navigational skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS technology. Time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Must be able to pass a drug screening as per company policy. Previous experience in the construction industry is preferential. Willingness to work the occasional Saturday.
